Sidhasana

1  Asana practiced in the sitting pose 

   Siddhasana – (Pose of an Adept) 

"Siddha" means a spiritually enlightened person in Sanskrit. 

Sequence:
  1. Sit erect in Sukhasana.
  2. Stretch out your legs.
  3. Place the left heel against the perineum and the right heel above the root of the generative organ.
  4. Insert the toes of both legs between the opposite thighs and calves.
  5. Knees must touch the floor.
  6. Head, neck and the spine should be kept erect. 

Benefits:
  1. This asana is one of the classic meditative postures and is practiced mostly for its spiritual values.
  2. The advanced yogis favor it for practicing meditation Pranayams
